Servicio Andaluz de Salud Servicio Andaluz de Salud or Andalusian Health Service (SAS) is an autonomous body attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of Andalusia. Its mission is to provide quality public health care to the citizens, seeking efficiency and optimum use of resources.
The Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBIS) is a high quality, multidisciplinary biomedical research centre, located in the campus of the Hospital Virgen del Rocio. Its aim is to undertake high quality and competitive research at international level on the most prevalent diseases and to develop new methods of diagnosis and treatment. IBIS promotes the rapid transfer of knowledge from basic research to clinical setting. It is focused on most prevalent diseases and organized in 4 research areas: Neurosciences, Cardiovascular & Respiratory pathology, Oncohematology & Genetics, and Infectious diseases & Immune system.

Pablo Mir is a clinical neurologist specialised in Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. He has acquired a solid knowledge in this area during his extensive training abroad, in places such as the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London, UK. He has also performed training in genetics and animal models of movement disorders.
